An oasis in the city.

Featured in the RHS Garden magazine, this front garden is filled with vast swathes of perennial planting interspersed with clipped topiary balls. A majestic cherry tree brings height to the space while a pair of terracotta pots keep two neat topiary standards as a welcome feature by the front door.

A recent survey indicates that nearly half of all UK front gardens have dissolved into a sea of gravel or impermeable paving. Here, we stripped away two thirds of the existing gravel and filled it with plants instead.
